Fear, Reality and Hope.
Many of us have experienced these emotions in our own lives. I know that in my life I have too often tethered my days to the anchor of mundane living. I go to work, eat, pay bills, read a book now and then, take care of my kids, and then go to bed. Days become weeks, weeks can become months, and even years.
Sometimes I am motivated by fear. Some people say that fear can be a good motivator. Fear of failure. Fear of losing. Fear of being unsuccessful. All of these fears can motivate us. But fear can also stigmatize and embalm us in a place of stagnation.
Hope is the weakest and the strongest of the three. It is the highest motivator, but can be easily smashed by the Forces of Evil.
It's time this community recognize that the Forces of Resistance have names: George Bush and Hillary Clinton.
And unless BOTH of these entities are pushed back and smashed with our collective hands, and pens, and votes, we may never realize our shared goals of making and living in a better America.
